We managed to get our film done for the Pueblo 24 hr Film Festival. The kids were thrilled to be making their “first movie” and it was a blast. We had about 10 kids at one point, but only used 4 in the actual film because we have release forms signed for some kids. Others kids either did camera filming (yes even the little ones got cameras), props or other jobs needed during filming. Sadly we had to cut some scenes when the forms didn’t come back and that broke our hearts since one very involved boy did an outstanding job. The film debuts on Friday at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center at 8 pm. We’re planning to attend and we’ll try to bring some of the older kids with us. Noemi and I had a fabulous time doing our first ever movie competition with kids. We hope to do many more in future as part of our programs offered. Considering the technical difficulties we had editing, getting video transferred and taking info from about 5 sources, we’re happy it came out as good as it did. By 2 am we had our finished product ready to be uploaded. Here’s a few pics as teasers.
