Radio/Media-Tech Free Camp

Attention all youth ages 12-18. We’re hosting a free fun week…

Students will learn how about radio technology, how to use radio broadcasting equipment for FM and programming, and editing operations. They will learn about rules and regulations, and how to operate radio equipment.  Youth will learn how to create set lists and produce radio shows and conduct interviews.  Youth will also  have a chance to produce a one hour radio show, which will be broadcast later the following week.  If time permits we’ll be doing short films on a green screen (putting in our own background) and using software to create Anime.

Campers need to bring: a great attitude and a willingness to learn new and exciting technology!

Our goal is to teach youth as much about radio as possible, during the week.  The participants will work with each other to exhibit their completed project on the radio.

Student attend the full week program from Monday to Friday 10am until 2pm and since there are only a fixed number of spots we ask that you call us immediately if your child cannot attend any day.  The Pueblo House and KOYC Radio phone is 719-404-3750 (landline) or call or text 719-250-3251.

Lunch and snacks will be provided.
