Makerspace comes to Pueblo House

Governor Hickenlooper has designated Colorado as a “Maker State!”  In honor of this and the importance of Makerspace youth programs, we are starting our own at Pueblo House to encourage kids to build, create and dream of what can be.  We hope to be one of the best in Pueblo!  Given our space can be used for continuous projects, that don’t have to be taken down after each class, our room is set up to allow for bigger ideas to come to life.

We could use some tools and materials if anyone has some they’re not using.  We’re also looking for some bins to hold supplies.   This tool drive will give us the ability to ensure everyone can participate.  Your donations would make a huge difference so please help us if you can or know someone who might have tools sitting idle.

With the collaboration of CSU-Extension, 4-H Club, Steel City Makers and Pueblo House, we’re starting a Makerspace on April 8 from 1 to 4 pm at Pueblo House #1.  For all those who are interested in designing, creating and building a project from recyclables, we invite  you to join us.  It’s all free!   Just bring your ideas and dreams so we can make it happen.
