But that rain didn’t stop LOWE’s from coming out and building Pueblo House a stage as promised. Jeff, Michalle, Chris, Tom & Mike (all from southside Lowe’s) and Rod got down and dirty (yes really dirty) today as the stage came together. They brought us one step closer to Mic nights on the Eastsdie. With precision and expertise the stage was built as the skies opened up poured down on us. With only a day or so a month of rain, we managed to pick that one day of inclement weather… and rain it did! The most difficult was leveling the frame. After that the boards went down quickly. We filled everyone up with burrito’s, coffee, lemonade, pizza and apple pie & cinamon buns before the day was over. The rain was still teaming down at the end of the day, but alas our stage was completed. Saturday the horseshoe & fire pit will be built and this will look like an entirely different place. Community space in the making, where people can gather, jam and just kick back. Sprinklers and lawn will be added in the spring. Thank you to everyone from Lowe’s who, drenched and tired, made 5th St. a little piece of heaven! You are truly our HERO’s!
