Eastside gets paint and plants!

We joined with E.A.S.T. (Eastside Action Support Team) to bring some much needed clean up to a block …we called it “Fun on Fourth”.  It was all about repairing & painting a fence, trimming trees, planting some flowers and cleaning up lots of garbage.  Tonight a dozen or so people came out to help bring some new life to a very sad corner at Glendale & 4th.

A bunch of us from Pueblo House joined more concerned Eastsiders & E.A.S.T. members who took to the streets to clean up, paint up and plant up an area on 4th St.  This is the start of plenty to come as we make clean space, get buildings ready for murals, pop up checker tables/chairs, new community flags, and newly planted gardens. It was great to see the turn out.

Big thanks to Little Caesar’s for the 5 pizza’s and to Wyatt who delivered it. The help were grateful as were the hungry who passed by. Thanks to Eastside Tavern for providing us some water and a broom.

There’s still plenty to do but we’ll tackle it a block at a time. Thanks everyone for being part of the solution of cleaning up the Eastside.
